A first frame anchors the video at 0.00 seconds. Adding a last frame creates a first-and-last-frame task in which the images define the endpoints and the prompt defines the path between them. Align each keyframe to the timeline
For first-frame video, the official instruction places <Picture 1> at 0.00 seconds in [Shot 1]. For first-and-last-frame video, the opening picture aligns with 0.00 seconds and the ending picture aligns with the exact effective duration, formatted to two decimals. Put this alignment instruction first, leave one blank line, then write the three base fields.
Develop forward from the first frame
Treat the first image as the actual opening frame, not as loose inspiration. Establish its style, identity, clothing, colors, objects, composition, and spatial relationships before describing action onset, continuous development, and a result or reaction. Give the subject room to move and avoid contradicting visible starting conditions.
Describe the path between both frames
For a first-and-last-frame result, describe observable intermediate changes: subject and object motion, pose changes, camera movement, composition, scene, and lighting. The official guide generally favors one continuous shot unless the brief explicitly calls for cuts. Narrow the visual differences progressively so the final [Shot N] reaches the last frame at the end.
Choose compatible endpoints
Use a last frame when the destination genuinely matters, such as a reveal, transformation, product turn, or exact closing composition. Keep identity, scene logic, and the amount of change plausible for your selected 4–15-second duration in Minimax Motion. Because frame-guided output follows the source canvas, prepare both images at the same intended aspect ratio.
